Ramada Birmingham Oldbury M5 J2 Hotel, Oldbury (West Midlands)

The hotel has a great location close to the motorway and opposite with a lovely buffet breakfast but is tainted by being filthy in all areas. The rooms are tired and dated with a tiny bathroom, yet I appreciated the good transport connections available. The service was polite, friendly, and helpful, although the experience was marred by being asked for excessive personal information. The dining experience was decent with hot food but could have had extended hours. The hotel lacks consistent cleanliness in its facilities yet provides good parking options.

The hotel had some positives like the lovely Tasimo coffee machines in the rooms, but overall, the cleanliness of the rooms, especially the bathroom, was at a very poor standard. Being front-facing made it quite noisy at night. The staff were friendly and welcoming, though a bit overwhelmed with only two on duty. The dining experience was hit or miss, with simple but worth it options mixed with slow service and a lack of variety. The facilities were decent overall.
